Running Accomplishments:

2008 = 10 races, 3 PR's, 1 first place in age division

I started running in 2006 at age 38/39.  I figured the best way to kick the smoking habit for good was to sign up for a marathon.  (I tend to be alittle extreme)

My first full marathon was the Chicago Marathon 2006 (cold, rainy year) 5:00

Full Marathons: Chicago, Kentucky Derby

Half Marathons:  Indy, Chicago Distance Classic (3 times cool medal), Holy Half (Notre Dame), IU's Inaugural, Joker's Wild (St Louis), Oak Brook Half (ugly medal),Valparaiso Mini, Flying Pig, Virginia Beach Rock N Roll  Times ranging from 2:30 to 2:00.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

I really would like to qualify for Boston in 2009. 

 

Personal:

I'm married to an incredible guy, Brian for 20 years (21 in May)!!  We have an amazing 17 year old (soon to be 18) daughter, Heather.  The two are my support system and cheerleaders.

AWESOME LONG Run.  Ave Pace 10:05.   Ran in Rolling Prairie, so there were even hills!!!!  I feel GREAT :)

CrossTrain at gym.  45 minutes on bike. 8 min warmup, 30 minutes moderate, 7 min cooldown.

Ran with Kelly. My training schedule is a little goofed up this week. Anyway we ran 4 miles, felt like 100.  Winds AGAIN 30+ mph.  Good news: A quarter of the run had the wind kind of at our backs.

Brian's birthday today.  So in celebration.... we did no training, ate bad and topped it off with some incredible chocolate cake that Heather made!!!  For Brian's birthday dinner, he chose: thin crust pizza, wings, antipasta salad.  So I had it real easy.... pizza place for pizza and salad, KFC for wings, Heather made cake, grocery store for ice cream. And WALAH...the birthday dinner
