I started running in 2006 at age 38/39. I figured the best way to kick the smoking habit for good was to sign up for a marathon. (I tend to be alittle extreme)
My first full marathon was the Chicago Marathon 2006 (cold, rainy year) 5:00
Full Marathons: Chicago, Kentucky Derby
Half Marathons: Indy, Chicago Distance Classic (3 times cool medal), Holy Half (Notre Dame), IU's Inaugural, Joker's Wild (St Louis), Oak Brook Half (ugly medal),Valparaiso Mini, Flying Pig, Virginia Beach Rock N Roll Times ranging from 2:30 to 2:00.
Short-Term Running Goals: I really would like to qualify for Boston in 2009.
Personal: I'm married to an incredible guy, Brian for 20 years (21 in May)!! We have an amazing 17 year old (soon to be 18) daughter, Heather. The two are my support system and cheerleaders. Favorite Blogs: |

| am. Ran w Jen the same route as last week. 1:51:52 It was just as great as last time around. I'm anxious for the leaves to change color, that will make it absolutely beautiful!! I've been so busy this last week, I didnt realize Wednesday was the last time I ran. Grrr. Heather's high school homecoming week is over, so I'll have more time for myself. It's always stressful for her to balance homework (honors), cheerleading, competition, and the nightly activities during homecoming. | a.m. Dreadmill, didnt want to take the time to match, put my contacts in or worry about my hair so I headed to the weight room in the basement.
